About me:
Hi, I’m Megan (she/her/they/them)! I’m a queer, non-binary, Chicago-based home chef. For the past 17 years, I’ve maintained a nearly 120 pound weight loss, not by depriving myself of entire food groups, but by finding true delight in real, good food. I believe that cooking healthy, delicious food from scratch is a radical act of self-reliance and self-acceptance. By learning to feed ourselves and our loved ones in a balanced, creative, and curious way, we can feel better about the food we eat and better in our bodies.
I’ve always been curious about how food shapes our culture and interactions as a community, and about how we can love and cook all kinds of food without succumbing to body-shame rooted guilt or the empty promises of the diet industrial complex.
If you’re ready to up your kitchen game and change your eating habits (and ultimately, your body) for good, then hop on over to my Patreon page for extra goodies, cooking classes, and private meal planning coaching. Plated with Pride makes every meal a micro-celebration and an act of self-care and gratitude for our loved ones. Let’s start chopping and get this party started!
